Victor Muniak

Dancing Argentine Tango for over 8 years, Victor has studied with many masters of different styles. His early influences were Fabian Salas and Gustavo Naviera (for structure of the dance), Chicho Frumboli (for musicality) and Carlos Gavito ( for posture, walk and elegance). He embraces and dances all the styles from Milongero to Nuevo.

Victor’s teaching philosophy is to give students alphabet of tango moves and to encourage them build their own dance vocabulary. His emphasis is on musicality and elegance. He has taught and performed with his partner in many private and formal occasions such as:

• Tangoheart Sextet  Show featuring Eva Lucero and Patricio Touceda, Partnering with Beatrix Satzinger (Washington / USA)

• Shadbolt theatre production (Vancouver / CAN)

• Victoria day celebration at Canada Place (Vancouver / CAN)

• Tango theatre production (Saltspring Island / CAN)

• CBC television for launch party of Chum TV (Vancouver / CAN)

Victor's partner Negar, started her training in 2002 after a great exposure to Argentine Tango in Buenos Aires.  She has studied with local instructors and benefited from many workshops with Argentinean teachers in the US and Canada. Victor and Negar have been successfully teaching and performing in Vancouver area for the last few years.
