Based on the script for Strangers, Ramin Bahrani was awarded the prestigiousWriters
Fellowship from the North Carolina Arts Council in 1999 to pursue his next screenplay.
Strangers is scheduled to premiere in Tehran at the Fajr International Film
Festival in February 2000.
