Development is an Adventure

We at PS Design+Prototyping flourish when it comes to setting off on independent expeditions of discovery and optimizing shapes that already exist. Our innate curiosity us much further: We like leaving the worn path. For us this means recognizing and defining the  interrelation of technical, ergonomic and cultural developments, perceiving ongoing changes in our surroundings and searching for product ideas for these new demands and functionality’s.And we are not travelling light these „New Frontiers“.

In order to secure a firm footing we´ve packed in our luggage all the necessary know-how, technical expertise and above all enthusiasm. Here are only a few products that have emerged from the sorcerer`s kitchen at  PS:Design+Prototyping: A sports helmet is primarily meant to protect from injury. And should be as light as possible, comfortable and yet extremely sturdy. Done! But we took it a step further: our newly developed helmet is of modular design, i.e. individual components can be exchanged. The helmet can be used as a multi-functional element adapted to a particular sports activity.

Also in the domain of development, production and data exchange we are not hampered by conventional constraints. By implementing new technologies and directly interlinking them traditional process chains can be considerably pared down. Surface digitizing by means of triangulation measuring principle (senior system with projector, reference grid system and CCD camera) takes, for instance, only a fraction of the time needed by traditional measuring techniques in the development of handset scanner.

This brochure has provided you with a titillating overview of what we actually do. Unfortunatley we cannot show you all of the many interesting projects of our clients, as well as our developments. Because, as you know, we take our duty to observe confidentiality very seriously.
